If anyone is thinking of buying the game RAGE because you thought it looked a lot like fallout but with better graphics, don't. Its entirely different to it in every way.
Bad points
- game is in first person. You very rarely get to see your character, and when you do, the armour design looks, well a bit crappy.
- amount of weapons. there are only about 20- to 30 weapons in the entire game, there are different ammo types and 1 or 2 mods for some weapons - like in fallout new vegas - but compared to fallout, it lacks in variation
- health system. No health bars, only indication of low health is when the screen turns red
- very boring start to the story, and the story is short compared to fallouts
- not a lot of consumables/ items to pick up - cant take enemies weapons; only ammo
- no text interface. eg. you can only accept/decline missions. thats about it when talking to NPCs
Good points
- has a steampunk kind of feel to it
- drivable vehicles with miniguns and missile launcers - also has a few race events
- HD graphics
- characters dont just stand around when you talk to them - use various hand gestures and move around a bit
- Defibrillator thingy. If you die, you have the option of restoring all your health and stunning nearby enemies by playing a very very simple minigame.
- fallout reference - vault boy collectable bobblehead
I've only played the game for about 5 hours over the past 2 days, if you like a game with a large map, lots of side quest and enemies you can kill with a single attack, but still challenges you at most points. Buy brutal legend instead - good story, engaging characters and challenging bosses. If anyone completes/ has completed the entire game on Brutal in less than a day - 5 hours straight - then leave a reply

The equestrian wasteland is total freedom, but with that freedom there's a burden you must carry for the rest of your life. You have to be strong, face your fears and fight for your freedom, because if you don't, the wasteland will tear you apart.
One way or another.
